About Me

Hello! First of all, thank you for stopping by to take a look. This is my first attempt at blogging, and I am very excited for what's in store. I originally came across the idea from a book called A Guide to Christian Ambition by Hugh Hewitt. The book was recommended by Pastor Greg Matte at Houston's First Baptist Church

In the book Mr. Hewitt states that, "The advantage of blogging is that it will oblige you to live in the world of ideas and debates, and to do so at the modern pace. At present no great blogger has emerged with a distinctly evangelical worldview. When one does, with humor and insight attached as well, that person (or persons) will have an enormous impact on the world.”

So here's my attempt to make an impact on the world with my ideas! I'm not sure how funny I am, so don't hold me to that standard... My hope for this blog is that readers will be able to pull at least one point that will educate, inspire, motivate, or just plain make you laugh before you head about your day!

Little background on me... I graduated from Texas A&M University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Distribution.  Along with that, I received a Minor in Business Administration & a Certificate in Leadership Study & Development.  While at A&M, I was involved in a handful of organizations, including the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets.  Following graduation from Texas A&M, I was blessed with an wonderful opportunity to work for an Energy Services company in Houston, TX.  The company is extremely lean, and growing fast!

Many of the posts will focus around business in the Energy Industry, and I hope to bring in a Christian perspective along with that.  I also plan to write a couple books reviews on various professional development books, along with document my travels.  Feel free to comment, or ask questions, on any of the posts.

Thank you again for stopping by! Contact me if you would like to "Grab Breakfast with Bormann!" I would love to post any advice, or lessons learned, you have found helpful in your business career! I'm buying...
